So my boyfriend & I spent the last few days in Utah. Seemingly not the most glamorous trip in the world, right? But easily my favorite to date. Our first stop was Salt Lake City where we were able to see Capitol Hill & the lovely City Creek Center for some shopping and food. We then made the 4.5 hour drive over to Bryce Canyon National Park, an item that had been on my bucket list for quite a while. This was where it got good. Now before I go on, keep in mind that I live in Florida. Hills, let alone mountains, are completely non-existent. Think hot and flat. To say the least, being surrounded by 55 miles of steep orange canyons & pine trees in 30 degree weather was pure bliss. Scenic, grand, & all-consuming. When I say I’ve never seen a landscape so beautiful in my entire life, I really do mean it. It was absolutely breathtaking, & I’m convinced that no picture will ever do it justice. We drove to each of the viewpoints, & completed a 1.3 mile hike on the Navajo Loop Trail. I’ll leave it at this – If you have the opportunity to visit this place, DO IT. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
