 1. WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED PASSPORT STAMP?

Well, technically, Australia didn’t stamp my passport which I was SO disappointed about! Just common practice there now, with fancy facial recognition machines & what not. But that’s my most treasured trip, hands down.

2. CAN YOU RECITE YOUR PASSPORT NUMBER FROM MEMORY?

Nope ;(

3. PREFERRED METHOD OF TRAVEL (BUS, TRAIN OR CAR)?

It would have to depend on the length of the commute for me. For trips under 8 hours, I’d lean toward a bus or car. But anything more than that starts to get uncomfortable…I took a 30-something hour train ride from Pittsburgh to Deerfield Beach, and it honestly wasn’t too bad!

4. TOP 3 TRAVEL ITEMS?

#1 would have to be, without a doubt, my iPhone. It’s just so useful for so many things! Taking pictures, GPS, notes, keeping in touch with everyone back home, etc. #2 – My camera bag which holds my GoPro and Nikon D3200, for sure. No such thing as too many pictures! And #3) My Eagle Creek packing cubes, because they make keeping everything organized so much easier!

5. HOSTEL OR HOTEL?

Neither! See my last post about AirBnB 😉

6. ARE YOU A REPEAT VISITOR OR DO YOU LIKE TO EXPLORE NEW PLACES?

While there are several cities that I could go to over and over again and not get tired of, I would still take exploring a new place over being a repeat visitor any day.

7. DO YOU READ UP ON YOUR DESTINATION OR DO YOU JUST WING IT?

I’ve done both, and don’t really prefer one over the other! I do usually have an idea of one or two things that I want to do once I’m at my destination, but other than that, I don’t really consider myself big on planning.

8. FAVORITE TRAVEL WEBSITE?

I love to read Liz Carlson’s blog, Young Adventuress! When looking for things to do or places to eat in a new city, TripAdvisor is my first choice. And for shopping for new gear, REI is my favorite 🙂

9. WHERE WOULD YOU RECOMMEND A FRIEND TO VISIT?

Arizona! It doesn’t get nearly as much recognition as it deserves! If I had to live anywhere else in the country, AZ would be it 🙂

10. YOU’RE LEAVING TOMORROW, MONEY IS NO OBJECT, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

Australia (again), New Zealand, & Fiji. That region of the world is so fascinating to me.
