Foodie Finds: San Diego.

During my trip to San Diego last weekend, it quickly became apparent that Southern California is full of incredible spots where foodies can indulge their tastebuds. I had the most delicious meals…So delicious that I felt they were worth writing about! These spots were just too good not to share with you all…

Breakfast: The Naked Cafe

3555 Rosecrans Ave. San Diego, CA 92110

My Recommendation: Coconut French Toast

This little cafe was packed when Tyler & I walked in on Saturday morning. Cozy, intimate atmosphere & great menu with some pretty incredible culinary creations.  I’ll give it to you like this- If I lived in San Diego, I would, without a doubt, be a regular.

Breakfast/Lunch: Kono’s Surf Club

704 Garnet Ave. San Diego, CA 92109

My Recommendation: Everything!

Kono’s serves breakfast all day long (which helped when Tyler & I slept til noon on Sunday morning, hehe) and is just a few steps away from the sands of beautiful Pacific Beach. As soon as we walked in, we felt so welcomed. The man who took our order joked around with us & was genuinely interested in having us as guests. As we were walking out, he shouted out “Bye Asia! See you next time!” It’s truly the little things that make the biggest difference in customer service, I tell ya. Yummy food at a great price, and very family-like atmosphere. One minor disclaimer, though: They only take cash, so make sure you have some handy! Oh, and the portions are big so come hungry!

Dinner: Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens

2816 Historic Decatur Road

My Recommendation: Vegetarian Yakitori Bowl

A little bit difficult to find, I admit, but ask one of the nearby valet guys & they’re happy to point you in the right direction. The ambience in this place is incredible, staff is so helpful and friendly, and meals (and beer!) are damn good. Even the bathrooms are cool! They have a nifty little gift shop, and every Monday is Meatless Monday, which definitely struck a chord with me :’) I was so happy to learn that they’re growing and expanding, too – Their next location is opening up in Europe. Hoping you come to Florida next, guys 😉 Seriously, if you’re in the area, GO HERE!

Note: Because I was far too busy enjoying my food to take pictures of it, all logo photos are from the restaurants’ websites directly. 🙂

Great tips! I’m from Northern California but I never make my way down south to San Diego, although they’re notorious for having such delicious restaurants and cafes. I need to make a visit ASAP! Great resource! xx
