So, you might be wondering what exactly is so special about morocco? Everyone always talks about what an amazing place it is and how seriously stunning the buildings are, but perhaps that still hasn’t swayed you?
I can see why you’re perhaps struggling. It’s not exactly cheap to visit Morocco, but I promise you right now that is is undoubtedly worth every single penny spent. I’ve been to a lot of places around the world and Morocco is definitely up there with the best. So without further delay, here are the reasons I think anyone and everyone should visit this beautiful place…
You must see the Medina
Morocco has a distinctive culture and you want to experience as much of it as you possibly can.
Visiting the Medina is a must! It’s full of enchanting treasures and you’ll be wowed by the burst of colours at this place. Make time to visit the Medina whilst in Morocco and get your hands on some pretty jewelry, bags, slippers (all home made) and of course some delicious food.
Usually when you type in Morocco and look for pictures, you’re met with pictures of beautiful little houses that look like hotels. These are called riads and they are traditional Moroccan houses that are turned into somewhere visitors can stay.
The villas are just as exceptionally beautiful and finding a villa to rent in Morocco won’t be hard as they are all stupidly pretty. Give yourself a little luxury whilst away and indulge in one of these – it will be your very own corner of paradise.
If you love interior design…
Then you seriously must visit this country. It’s known for its charm and luxury when it comes buildings and decorating them. You’ll have fun spotting the bold pieces of furniture amongst the overly large sofas and tiny little tables. Moroccan interior usually centres around a rustic look with very clear attention to detail. You can even shop for an eye-catching carpet whilst on your travels as Moroccan carpets have a reputation for being beautiful. Often seen with intrinsic designs and colours that pop, you could add a little extra character to your home with one of these.
The Sahara Desert
This is certainly one of the main reasons that many eager tourists flock to this amazing country. You can see the highest dunes in Merzouga and compared to other countries that offer the same views of the Sahara Desert, this one is far more safe.
Many people claim that Morocco is the most colorful country in the world, so if you’re looking for somewhere to lift your spirits and brighten your mood then Morocco is surely worth a shot. Everything is colorful – from the houses, markets, interior design to the food, which is usually vibrant as well as delicious due to all the spices and super fresh vegetables.
And if all that isn’t enough for you then I’ll gracefully accept defeat. Perhaps try visiting one of these five Caribbean islands instead…
