Where to Escape the Winter Cold.

For those who live in the colder regions of the world, winter is either fantastic or a slog. People who do enjoy the chilly season will point to the snowy fun activities that can be had, the simple pleasures of curling up with a hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire, & all the goodness of a traditional Christmas. Those who do not enjoy have their own valid points: chiefly: ‘boy, is this cold!’.

When it was forming, the earth was kind enough to divide the world up in such a way that it was always possible to visit a sunny destination regardless of how cold it was back home. Take a look at some of our favorite winter sun destinations below. And remember, they’re just a short journey away if the cold gets too much!

Africa is a stunning place to visit whatever time of the year you go, but it takes on an extra lease of life during winter, and especially during the holiday season. Visit Africa in December and you’ll sample a bit of everything: sun-filled beaches, migration of wildlife, and those all important Christmas traditions, which include singing carols and enjoying a big meal – essentially, the same things as everywhere else but with a blazing shining down outside!
